What is RERA project extension?
RERA project extension is a provision under Sections 6 and 7(3) of the RERA Act that allows promoters to extend the project completion timeline beyond the originally registered date, subject to payment of fees and valid reasons.
What is the maximum extension period?
Under Section 6, the maximum extension is 1 year. Under Section 7(3), further extension beyond 1 year can be granted with consent of at least 51% of allottees or without consent if the promoter provides valid reasons and supporting documents.
